Relic drive-in theaters sporadically populate the southern Appalachian landscape. These screens featured film classics from the 1950s onward, with as much drama played out on the field it faces as on its decayed screen. Shifting tastes, technologies, and uses of leisure time have relegated these structures to cattle pastures at the edge of town. The screens sit idly, like noble ruins, while vegetation and entropy consume their surface.
